p.s. my back and obliques are SCREAMING today. Curse that kettlebell! Need some of your ginger rub.
I am not surprised!!
I am concerned about the ginger rub…i cant find it on the interweb anywhere!!
It is the only thing that allowed me to walk this morning!! Leg day is a real thing!!
I noticed that when I did a search! There were 3 available on the US Amazon site, but they’re charging $49 for 100 ml. ๐ฆ
I just ordered a muscle rub from Indigo Wild Zum (a company I’d heard of through another blogger – all natural stuff, too). I’ll let you know if it’s any good.
Oooh thank you ๐
some googling has just informed me they have gone into liquidation ๐ฆ
Bah!
That’s a great photo. A walk in the woods is always good for the soul and mind.
Remarkably so, considering that since that hike I have traveled to Atlanta and back, and in my final hours before heading to the airport for a flight to Montreal tonight, I’m scrambling to move furniture and remove artwork from walls in preparation for a team of workers to install new windows tomorrow (while I’m away). The fact that I’m trusting Mr. Enthusiasm to enforce my exacting standards is a sure sign that the kinder, gentler Nancy is still here.
Wonderful photo, Nancy! Thanks for the peaceful thoughts and pretty view this afternoon, I need them both as I get ready for a middle school track team banquet tonight. ๐
Ugh, I have the middle seat on a to NY in a few weeks and am already dreading the 6 hrs pinned in between strangers. ๐ฆ I didn’t get to make my own reservations… Hope yours is smooth and short!
45 mins. Took me longer to drive from my house to the airport. ๐
Sorry you’re in the middle on a long haul. ๐ฆ
IE my first reply was sent from TO and this one is from Montreal. Short and sweet!
Yay!
Beautiful image and words. Finding peace in our mad rush is always a good place to be. Maybe I have not notice but I like the makeover of your blog. Well done!
Thanks Pat! I think I made the theme change a while ago but you wouldn’t notice it unless you were on a computer (not phone or tablet) and probably not unless you clicked off the post itself and back to the home page. Glad you like it!
No doubt I just missed it until now. There have been many days that required autopilot to survive. Now that the drama has faded I am once again starting to notice the things around me…like dust in the house.
I think anyone in your circumstances would be the same. The fact that you’ve come out the other end in such a good place is testament to your commitment to choosing to be happy.
Thanks Nancy. Those are very encouraging words.
You’ve been classy and kind throughout your whole ordeal. An inspiration.
The high road is not an easy path.
But so worth it in the end. I’ll bet you sleep just fine at night.
Love the image! And you are a great poet too, Nancy. Bravissima!
In my next life, I’d like to come back as a tree. Or a bottle of rare malt whisky, but most likely a tree.
It’d be nice if you were there to write a piece of poetry about me too. That would be a pretty awesome life.
๐
If you were a bottle of rare malt whiskey, wouldn’t you have a relatively short life span?? No…you should definitely be a tree. And my reincarnated self will be an actual poet. ๐
Thanks for this. It reminds me that I’m overdue for a nice long walk in the woods ๐
Last week’s did wonders for me. See more nature porn pics in my previous post.
๐ awesome!!
Thank you kindly!

They’ve discontinued ginger rub??? Waaaahhhh! ๐ฆ
I can’t even find the company’s website ๐ฆ

It sure is.
This is an absolutely stunning picture…so many vibrant colors forming a great shape.
Thanks! I’m so glad you like it!
Lovely, Nancy. This would be a welcome retreat for sure.
This particular tree stopped me dead in my tracks. She was a beauty!
I see the Cheshire Cat sitting right there on that outstretched limb . . . SMILING from ear to ear.
As long as he keeps his claws retracted, we’re all good. ๐
Gotcha! But beware the bandersnatch!
๐
Love it, great picture (from your anniversary hike maybe?) and love the poetry!!
It is from that same hike, Kate! I saved a couple of ‘wow’ shots to use individually in future blog posts. This tree took my breath away.
Still peaceful after your walk in the forest?
Remarkably so, considering that since that hike I have traveled to Atlanta and back, and in my final hours before heading to the airport for a flight to Montreal tonight, I’m scrambling to move furniture and remove artwork from walls in preparation for a team of workers to install new windows tomorrow (while I’m away). Can I take that to mean you are feeling much better?
Either that or all that medical drama in April broke my fiery spirit. ๐
Yeah. Yeah. That’s what happened.
Heh.
You never did get the hang of this ‘wordless’ thing, did you? ๐
Snort! Nope. Thick as a board, I am.
A very fit board ๐
If you were closer, I’d buy you a beer for that comment.
Damn my far-away-ness ๐
๐
Beautiful x
Thanks lovely. xoxo
This is beautiful, Nance. I could just stare at that photo for a while here – don’t mind me ๐
Yep, I took a nice little rest break in front of her.
Wonderful photo, Nancy! Thanks for the peaceful thoughts and pretty view this afternoon, I need them both as I get ready for a middle school track team banquet tonight. ๐
I need them, too, as I’m stuck in a middle seat on my flight to Montreal. The joys of air travel. ๐

High praise from one of my favourite photographers and poets! ๐ xoxo
Have a great weekend ๐ xoxo
