Happiness is…
Fall colours by the lake.
Late September weather warm enough to still run in a tank top and shorts.
And when a monarch holds the pose long enough for you to capture the shot.
Keep moving,

That butterfly is something. Well, they’re all something, but kudos for capturing the butterfly. (I only have photos of a butterfly eating poop…………but hey, at least it was still…………)
Those bastards flit around like they’re late for an appointment. I started to worry that this one had died, it was still for so long.
This is definitely go-outside-and-enjoy-the-season time!! I love the pics 🙂
The only time I’ve ever called a butterfly a bastard was riding my bike up a hill one day. I had a butterfly actually fly up beside me, paused a minute, then passed and dropped me going up the hill. Little jerk. He was probably laughing at me the entire way too
Carefree little mofos.
What great pictures! Great way to reflect on a Wednesday!
I’m just amazed at the weather we got through the end of Sept! That said, today it’s cool and gloomy/grey. 😦
We are in the upper 80’s… I’m still waiting for the machine that magically makes fall weather appear when the calendar says October!
The machine is actually a moving truck. Move a few states north and you’ll have fall weather in October. 🙂
Beautiful shots, Nancy! They make me want to take off and find a lake instead of spending another day on the freeway. 🙂
If you’re flight brings you to my lake, you know you’ve got s place to stay.
Your photos made me happy, too, Nancy! They do inspire me to take it outdoors!! 🙂 I’m trying to keep moving…I am just going to admit that our “Endless Summer” heat is zapping my resolve to do better. I’ll think of you and give myself a good kick to start!
Have you had any rain at all Debra?
Sunday morning, to our surprise, we had a light rain that lasted about an hour. It seemed to come out of nowhere! I took it as a very hopeful sign of things to come. It smelled so good. 🙂
Vegas got some monsoon rains in Sept from what I understand. I was hoping some of that originated from your parts. Sorry it’s been so sparse. May Oct bring more wet weather your way.
Beautiful photos, Nancy. 🙂
Thank you Rob.
Cutie pictures!!! I love them so much!! Very inspiring! Thanks for sharing!! XOXO!!
Aw, thanks sweetie. 🙂
Thanks for this dose of happiness!!! Brings a smile to my face. 🙂
Not a doom or a gloom in sight! 🙂
Perfect! Still having great weather here too! Looking forward to enjoying it over the long weekend! 🙂
Today it got grey and gloomy – and apparently staying that way through end of day Friday. Fingers crossed for a sunny and mild weekend here!
Fingers crossed for you! There probably won’t be too many more of them before winter hits! Let’s make the most of it! 🙂
Exactly! (Which is why I’m getting the hell out of Dodge ASAP and heading down to LV. Not your former LV, of course. 🙂
No, nobody in their right mind would go there 😉
I hate to point out the glaringly obvious, but… 🙂
Lovely photos! I am hoping that it is cooler as we go north…we are headed to Virginia and West Virginia on a bike trip this weekend, but the fact that it is that warm still in Toronto is squashing my hopes.
It cooled down considerably today, along with grey skies, Lynne. Apparently we’ll be in the high 50’s through the next 5 days. BIG drop from what it was two days ago. 😦
Interesting, that is the same forecast we have down here in North Georgia! I am ok with it. I would much rather ride in cool or cold weather than be too hot. 😀
Have a safe trip!
Beautiful pictures. That first one is amazing! We don’t get the beautiful color changes down here but thankfully the temps are dropping.
I only wish it lasted longer (the fall colours). Nature gives, but she takes away pretty quickly, too. 🙂
Gorgeous colors are one thing I miss about Autumn up north.
We used to love riding around New England admiring the foliage, stopping for cider, picking out a pumpkin, running through the corn maze, jumping in piles of leaves, etc.
Now we’re happy to see a shift from the 90’s to the 80’s . . . and the end of Hurricane Season.
I love spring, summer and fall up here. It’s just winter I could do without. sigh.
Aahhhh how I love a north American fall 🙂
Me too. Too bad it’s so brief!
